On Sunday, August 16, 2009, I preached in the AM Worship service at Christ's Church of the Valley, where I also serve in the youth department.  I preached a study on 2 Chronicles 20:1-32, a text which lends itself very well to being a series.

Main points here:

 

  • When in fear, turn to God
  • Pray and fast as a community
  • The leader (not just the pastor) must lead by example (hear me parents???)
  • When the Holy Spirit speaks, listen and obey
  • Act in obedience to God, and he will take care of the rest.  Just do what you're told

I preached at the Go! youth event at Crosspoint Church in DePere, Wisconsin.  God's word for them was:
1. Be more than a youth group
2. Read, Study, and Pray
3. Do more than is expected
4. Worship Freely
